How to add a timesheet entry retrospectively.

This is my first post, so I'm just finding my way around here.

Last week I forgot to put a timesheet entry for Friday. Today is Monday, and I tried to add an entry and backdate it, but there does not seem to be a way to do that. I can edit the start and stop times, but there is no date control. Can it be done? If so, how?

Of course there is a date control, right above the field to edit the start time.
Can you send a screenshot of what you see?

I see the date field once I have stopped work. When I first start work with the timer still running, the date field is not present. Is that correct?

That is correct. Some fields (date, end time or duration) are hidden as they make no sense on a "running timer" work unit
