I can't remember which Microsoft account/email I used when I originally downloaded the app to my Windows machine. I'd like to upgrade to Pro version, and want to make sure I'm using my personal Microsoft account when I do so.

1) Is there a way I can determine/verify which MS account I used when I originally downloaded the free version?
2) If I have indeed been using the free version with my company-linked MS account, and I purchase Pro using my personal MS account, is there a way to transfer the information over? (I would assume I can export a backup and import it into the new account?)

You can check your email inbox. Microsoft sends a purchase confirmation mail. You can also see your past purchases in the Microsoft account page: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

I don't know if it is possible to purchase the app with a company-linked account. The Cloud Sync is independent of the account you buy the app with. You can also always backup and import the whole database in the settings.

How do you buy on the windows platform from Canada?

ScottElmore You download the app through the Microsoft Store, then open the app, click on the "Pro version" menu item on the left and then buy the app. Any problems when trying to do so?

Hi Timo,
I bought the Windows Pro version (durable) with the wrong payment method, so I requested and received a refund so I would be able re-buy it with the correct payment method. Now however, I don't see the option to purchase Pro in the Windows app. I tried "repair" and "reset" the Windows Store cache (as described here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/reset-windows-store-cache) and I also closed the WorkingHours app completely and reopened it. I haven't tried restarting my computer yet, but do you know of some way I can get the app to re-check the license state, see it's been refunded, and allow me to purchase it again?

Angel How did you request and receive a refund? Through Microsoft Support? Can you share more about how that worked? Did you try to reinstall the app (make sure to create a database backup first)?

timo I did it through Microsoft's website, yes, through this page, I believe: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders
I haven't tried reinstalling the app. I will do that now. 👍️

Edit: Yay! It's fixed! I actually didn't uninstall and reinstall, I just reset the app's data in Windows Program Settings. I was able to purchase Pro with the correct payment method now. Thanks!

I believe this is an appropriate place to leave some user POV feedback about why I am chill with purchasing for separate platforms- but if not feel free to delete:]
I am not typically a person who spends money on apps or subscriptions. I've been using and really enjoying workinghoursapp since mid May this year. I purchased pro right before the trial period ended. I can't currently pin down exactly what has made this app work so well for me when compared to other similar apps... While the app isn't totally perfect, my experience using it these past few months outweighs my aversion to paying for things. So I will purchase for separate platforms.
I think if I had originally subscribed rather than fully purchased Pro I would feel differently- but the subscription service seems to be a middleground for those still unsure if they want to purchase Pro after the trial. I think it is good to have options. _Cheers, Ariel

algold2 Oh Noes! I had to purchase it for both iOS and Mac OSX. That's my coffee budget blown for the week.

I'll probably have to spread out the Windows and Android versions over the course of the rest of the month, because coffee.

Joking aside, the price is really reasonable and the cross platform compatibility is key.

Does anyone know when the TempleOS version is going to land?

I bought PRO on Android. I use the same email on Windows for user. Is there a way to pull the license from Android? Buying the app for the second time is inconvenient.
Or can it pull the license based on sync storage?

xvolt Please read the first post in this discussion 🙂. It explains that you need to buy the Pro version separately for each platform you want to use it on.

I cannot check via email address. The payment on Android is all handled by Google. Please check your purchases here: https://pay.google.com/ - your purchases there also have a "transaction id" - I can check if the Pro version should be active with that ID

From what I can see, the payment looks ok and successful. What exactly happens when you click the "buy" button again? It is not possible to buy the app twice with the same Google account, so I would expect the Play Store to send WorkingHours an "already bought" signal
