Time zone default

Every time I start a new task, the starting time is one hour earlier then the current time. It is necessary for me to change the time 4 the start of the one hour ahead.
I wasn't able to find a discussion about this.
WorkingHours version: version. 2.7.1.
OS + version: Android 11

With "start a new task" do you mean the timer or manually adding a work unit.
If you are referring to the latter, then this is intended behavior - this doesn't have to do with time zones.
The reason I did this is because I couldn't come up with a use case in which manually creating work units for the future makes sense - wouldn't you just use the timer for this?

I am having the same problem, except 1 hour later than current time. When I click "Start work" button and select my specific Task, the timer starts 1 hour off of the time of my laptop. It is causing issues with the clients I report time to, because they question why I say I was at a meeting from 2-3 and the meeting was actually held at 1-2.

I have never heard of such a behavior.
How exactly can I reproduce this?
So when the timer starts 1 hour in the future, the "duration" is 0sec for a whole hour before it goes into positive?
Can you please also send some screenshots showing the behavior?

It times fine. The "time" is 1 hour off.
Note the "10:44" as start time in the timer, but "9:44" in lower left system clock.

I just noticed that my system is set to "Eastern Time Zone", although my Date & Time setting is to Set Time and Set Time Zone Automatically. So the app must be based on my system setting. I'll change that at midnight tonight & see how it impacts things tomorrow.

The issue may be with my laptop, as I have gone in to change my time zone in settings & it now shows that I am in Central. I have no idea how it changed. I am going to need to restart & see what is happening. I'll keep you posted, @timo .

Hi @timo, I know it has been months, but I continue to have this issue.

On a regular basis I have the app using Eastern time zone, even when I am in Central (which is where I live, so where I am 90+% of the time), or in Mountain or Pacific. And in any given day it will correct itself (switch to Central, as example), but then switch back later!

Hi, I was having a similar issue, but found a fix.

I originally set up Working Hours when I was on Mountain Time. Then I noticed that when on Central European Time, Working Hours was still using Mountain Time even though the system clock was set to Central European (Summer) Time. The system sets the time zone automatically based on location.

To fix the issue, I simply set the clock manually in System Preferences, and then quite and relaunched Working Hours. It all realigned itself. The time zone is correct in Working Hours.

Now they're may be an easier solution (quite and relaunch Working Hours). I believe I may have already done this, but I'm not sure.
