Quick selection bar is gone

Hi!
I don't know if its only me who is having this issue, but there was no one else posting it:
since the last update the quick selection bar disappeared.

How do I get it back? The option for the quick selection menu in the settings is checked.
Any tips? What am I missing?

Hmm weird, I made a small change with the quick selection panel, but it is still working for me, on two different devices.
How many visible tasks ("Aufgaben") do you have that should show up there?

timo Hi Timo, now you're asking I realised: it should be 27, which is a lot (I had a lot of subtasks that I wanted to track accurately the last months) - maybe I’ve exceeded the limit?

There shouldn't be a limit. Have you set any tasks as hidden? Would it be possible to send me your database backup via mail (workinghoursapp@outlook.com) so I can try to reproduce the problem on my side?

This was working fine for me on Friday and now the menu is gone. I too have Task quick selection panel selected.

Is there a better work around than "Stop work" and then starting a new one?

As I wrote above, can someone please send me his database backup via mail, since I am currently unable to reproduce the problem with my test data. Also please include what Windows version you are using

I'm having the same issue relating to the "Quick Selection Panel" missing, even though it's turned on in the settings.
I will follow up with a backup of my database to the email listed above

Thanks to the database from @MelbWestMan I was able to reproduce the problem. I believe it happens when the first task in the task list is set as hidden. I am working on a fix for the next update (v2.14.4)

...and I also wanted to mention - because it might be related - that newly created tasks recently appear on the far right of the quick selection bar (at the end). It used to be different: the new task would always be placed at the beginning of the bar. That could be related to this bug, because this way there’s almost always a very old task listed first - one that might be hidden.

kadja The order of the quick selection bar should be the same as on the task overview page - and you can adjust the sorting there. Is the order different between the two views for you?

When I am creating a new task it is shown at the bottom of the listview. I currently can't check as I can't see the quick selection but I can remember that it was on the end of the bar - so it works how you explained.

But in the past I had the impression that the newest task I've created pops up at the very begining of the bar, but in the overview it was listed at the bottom. But I can't say for sure... maybe I’m remembering it wrong.. I just wanted to mention it in case it’s related to the toolbar disappearing.

That would have been a bug then. Let me know if that behavior continues after the update.
As I wrote, you can get it back to work right now by simply un-hiding the top task
