Working Hours App (Paid Version) Black Screen Then Shuts Down

Hello
Working Hours App (Paid Version) stopped working, when I start it, it will open up to a black screen
and then shuts down.

I can go in to windows app setting and do a reset of the app and it will open up normally but when
I click on "Add Work Unit" I can add it but when I click on the Work Unit it shut down again, when
I restart app it is back to the same black screen and then shut down again.

I have repaired the app, reset the app and uninstall and reinstall the app, but it does the same thing
when I click on "Add Work Unit"

Any idea or help would be appreciated

v2.13.1.0 is not the latest version - please update the app in the Store and try again.
Not sure why reinstalling the app didn't help, because it should install v2.13.3 - is this not the case for you?

I uninstalled v2.13.1.0 and installed v2.13.3.0 and still getting the black screen then shut down after trying to click on "Add Work Unit".

I also reset the app and it starts normally but shuts down again when I add a work unit and click on new work unit then when I restart the app it starts up with a black screen and shuts down again.

It was working fine before but just started this on 07/28/2025

the installation of these packages solved the issue, not sure which one is actually needed (seems like the last one):
Microsoft.DotNet.DesktopRuntime.9
Microsoft.EdgeWebView2Runtime
Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x64
Run winget install packageNameHere to install the package

I made a pretty large update, this is why it probably started recently.
I am still unable to reproduce this problem or even see any crash log in my crash reporting.

Would it be possible for you to make a screen recording of the problem and send it to me?
Can you share the crash log information that Windows writes in the "Event viewer" app under "Application"?
Is there a chance for you to upgrade to Windows 11, which might resolve the issue?
Does the problem only happen when you click the "Add work unit" button, no crash in any other action in the app (e.g. opening an existing work unit)?
Does the problem happen immediately after reinstalling the app, without any further setup or importing the database?

To investigate this, additional information like app version, OS version, device model etc would significantly help!

Открой PowerShell от имени администратора (или командную строку) и по очереди выполни:

winget install Microsoft.DotNet.DesktopRuntime.9
winget install Microsoft.EdgeWebView2Runtime
winget install Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x64

If someone else encounters this problem, could you please install the packages mentioned above step by step and let me know after what particular package the app starts working again?
Interestingly, even though I have neither of those packages installed on my machine, I cannot reproduce this crash

I cannot upgrade to Windows 11

The crash only happens then I click on add work units or start work.

It happens when I on add work units or start work and the app crashes and when I opens the app again it shows a black screen until I reset the app.
