OneDrive-Sync not working any more

tkriener Sorry for the problem. Can you explain in more detail how the "sync failed with no error"? Does the sync button on the bottom left just keep spinning indefinitely? Did you try to reset the login credentials in the app settings and log in again?
It kind of feels like the app cannot communicate with the OneDrive servers and therefore is "stuck".
Alternatively (I've seen this issue before a few years ago) it is possible that the app is stuck in the process of getting a NTP timestamp from a NTP server, which is part of the sync process. There should be a timeout for the NTP timestamp retrieval, and I recently made changes to it, so perhaps it is no longer working correctly. The app does try to get a NTP timestamp no matter what sync option you are using, so if this is the problem cause, I would expect the same hang to happen when trying to use the Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud Sync - is that the case?

I see no possibility to reset the credentials. In the settings for the database there are only the selector for the sync traget, backup, import and reset.

The sync button keeps spinning for a long time.
Same behavior if I change to iCloud.

Which ntp Server are you trying to use? I can probably try to reach it from the command line.

tkriener Could be related to the NTP request then. I am using pool.ntp.org. Let me know if you can reach it using the command line. I will see if I can somehow reproduce the problem on my device

Requesting the time using the command "sntp pool.ntp.org" directly gives a valid reply (+0.036425 +/- 0.017090 pool.ntp.org 185.228.139.165).

hmmm, weird. Maybe some other DNS is used to resolve the IP...
What you're describing really reminds me of a similar case that was reported here. It shows the same hanging behavior, on macOS only and independent on what sync method is used.
What I will do with the next version is to partly revert the changes I made to the NTP logic in the last update, so that the NTP retrieval should no longer block the sync and also add logging to better understand the behavior (e.g. does it only happen on macOS and does using another NTP server (like time.apple.com) show the same problem.

Phew, then this is weird. Wish I could replicate the problem on my side....
Could you perhaps try out the following?

make a wifi hotspot with your phone and then try if the same happens while using that network?
install my other apps (Diarium and SubTotal) and see if the same happens there as well?
do you have a way to manually block pool.ntp.org on your Router or something to see if that makes any difference?

iCloud sync is working now. I don't know really what might have changed. Possibly the reboot over the weekend.
OneDrive still does not work. I will check on wednesday, when I'm in the office. At home the mobile network is too bad for using a hotspot.

Well if iCloud is working but OneDrive isn't, then NTP isn't the problem.
When enabling the OneDrive sync for the first time, the app tries to open a small browser window for you to log in. This (I think) is in the same process as Safari and sometimes the window doesn't show when Safari is opened already and bugged - did you try restarting Safari?
Does the same problem happen for the other sync options that use the authentication window (Dropbox & Google Drive)

Sorry for the late reply. On Wednesday I checked it in the office and with Mobile Hotspot. iCloud is working and OneDrive not.
I also just checked Version 2.11.26, same behavior. iCloud works, OneDrive not.
I also rebooted the system in the meantime.
Are there any logs I can look for?
For myself, I think I will stuck with iCloud for now. But if it is helpfull I can do more tests with OneDrive.
I have no Dropbox or Google Drive available for testing.

Does it hang indefinitely (at least 2 minutes)?

@timo I started experiencing an issue recently which I think may be related.
Typically I leave my work computer (Windows) logged in and locked when I leave for the day; If WorkingHours was running when I left (not necessarily recording a time internal), it will hang when I try to access it in the morning. I've gotten in the habit now of explicitly exiting the program at the end of each day if I am not restarting my computer. I am on version 2.11.23.

This isn't the latest app version, can you please update? Also, do you have the Pro version? Is the Cloud Sync enabled? What do you see on the screen when it's hanging?
