0x800704ec | Microsoft Store syncing purchase to License

It seems my IT department locked down on allowing any kind of login associated with Microsoft Store.
I have a paid Lifetime License for this application and want to see if there are ways to unlock the Licensed feature? Each time I try to login Microsoft Store I get the 0x800704ec error.. IT's policy is to not allow connecting to Microsoft store despite being a personal account nor Work account.

I wish there were a way to have a separate login to exercise my license irrespective of the Microsoft Store and dedicated app stores.

Now my newly issued laptop cannot use this application as I have been using for my other machines.

Any tips and advice appreciated

I'm afraid this is a Microsoft / Windows issue that I cannot help with.
I also offer the app outside the Microsoft Store here, but there's no way to transfer the license that is connected to your Microsoft account

timo Will the license work outside of Microsoft store be re-usable on different computers? Is this simply an activation key after installation?

over9000 Yes the purchase on Gumroad gives a license key and can re-used on different PCs (as long as it's the same user)

timo Thanks. One more thing: Can you advise on how this application works after license payment? Is it an exe file download? Can I get access to that link to download/install in the meanwhile? I do know there are additional restrictions by my IT team which may prevent exe installations.. I wouldn't want to purchase this additional license only for it to not work per my use case..

You can write me a mail and I send you the installer for testing purposes.
