Pomodoro break cycle not starting from windows notification

Break notifications for Pomodoro's are starting the break cycle. I need to manually start the break cycle from the app.
Repro: Start Pomodoro cycle. When the break cycle notification is given by windows press the "start break" button. Check the application and the break cycle is not counting down. Starting a new pomodoro cycle works successfully from the windows notification.

I was not able to reproduce this, either on Windows 10 nor on Windows 11.
Can you please send a screenshot of your Pomodoro settings?
Perhaps an issue with the Insider Windows version you are using...

I started recently using your app; and I can confirm this as well.

So, I can be working on something full screen (have the app in the background), and I believe it happens when I don't have the overlay open.
When I have the overlay open, the windows notification works fine. But, if I only have the app open in the background with the pomodoro timer running, the notification pops up. I tell it to start the break/ or next focus session. Time goes by, before i notice the button didn't work; and the timer had paused at the last notification.

I'll try to reproduce and send screnshots, though; i'm not entirely sure how I should go about doing it. I explained my observations as best as I could.

Bulwark Can you check if the app is allowed to run in background in the Windows settings? Does it work when you change it to "Always"?

I just did a quick test and the feature/buttons worked fine for me

timo Sorry I didn't reply to you at first.
But, to summarize my last few messages:

It's working for the most part now.

When I first changed the background permissions to "Always", it didn't make a difference at first. I tried closing the app and restarting it; and it still had no effect.
After maybe an hour, I hit the button in the notification again when it popped up; and then i swapped back to the app to check it. It was then working.
I changed no other settings, didn't restart my pc or anything. not sure what made the difference.

Though, I am on a laptop, so I wonder if it happened after my battery got charged up past a certain %?
(There are no battery restrictions on the app, that I'm aware of in the settings)
Oh, and idk if it makes a difference or not; but I am on Windows 11.

But, anyway; thanks for the help! It's working now, not exactly sure why though. Lol
Please, let me know if you need me to test anything else with it!

Edit I am using a fullscreen app (not windowed), and the Windows notification did not work!

Just changing that setting; No. It did not work thru the notification button still.

Wait...but now it is.

I closed out of the application and tried it again, it still didn't work at the time. But now, sometime later, it is working not through the notifications.

I will try to use the focus timer + notifications tomorrow, while the app is closed. For the last 20 minutes (with notifications showing every 5 minutes), there hasn't been any issues yet however.

Ok, I was now able to reproduce the problem and identified the problem.
Should be fixed in the next update - thanks for reporting this bug!
