Change the allocated task to multiple tasks?

I have a years worth of tasks, but i need to change about the first 1/3 of them to a different task, Is there away of doing this in bulk, at the moment i am working my way through them one by one!

Currently there isn't.
I previously thought of adding a context menu item (to the context menu when right clicking the grouping item like a "day") to change the task of multiple work units at once. Would you welcome such a feature and would it resolve your problem?
