While some users may value retaining every work unit indefinitely, others (like myself) would prefer to remove all or most units from prior years. As I understand it, there are now only two ways to remove multiple work units.
- Deletion of a task - this allows user to remove all work units associated with the selected task.
- Deletion by day - this allows user to remove all work units on one day
This results in unnecessary repetitive work. For example, if one wishes to delete all work units for 2019, while retaining the existing task names, it is necessary to delete hundreds of work units, day by day.
In order to save time in managing tasks with growing numbers of old units mixed in with current work, I propose the following change:
- Allow user to delete ALL work units prior to a selected date.
- If there are coding obstacles with the above option, the job might be simplified by enabling old work unit deletion only when the filter is set for a single task.
- Also I see that a new option is under discussion for Archiving work units based on a specified date. That would be another way to solve this problem.
