geoff Total hours would be great at the bottom of the Quantity Column.

I will wait for additional feedback from other users on this one. The reason I am hesitant is that I haven't seen this to be common in other invoices and such a "sum row" would only make sense if the "amounts" to be added are all of the same type. 2 hours + 2 hours can be summed up, but 2 hours + 2 pieces of sold article can not.

I am not sure what app version are you using here but with the current version (1.0.3) you can select which columns to include in the app settings. I also made the "description" field to support multi-line text so you can add more information into it. I am thinking of an option to make the first line of that field to show up as bold text in the PDF. That would allow you to separate the "name" of an item with the "description" or additional information. Would you use such a feature?
A fully customizable column count would make the UX more complex and could also cause issues with the PDF rendering when there is too much information in a row.

geoff It would also be nice if we could delete items from the Description auto-fill list

This idea/feature request is already being tracked here. Perhas you can add your comments/suggestions there. I have heard that request from multiple users already and would like to take care of it. I just haven't found a good technical solution yet.

I have now released a new app that supports "exporting to invoice" from WorkingHours.
You can download it for all 4 platforms (Windows, Android, iOS, macOS) via the store - you find the download links on my website: https://timopartl.com/subtotal

The next WorkingHours version 2.6.13 will include a "Create invoice" button in the export screen that will launch SubTotal (if it is installed) and automatically generates a invoice from your exported work units. I hope this covers what was asked for in this feature request.

There is still a lot that can be improved and I want to get it right. Please let me know what features you are missing or if you find any bugs.

Maybe I'm a special case, but unfortunately I can't work with the Invoice app at all. I use a ERP system with articles and different prices for each customer for all invoicing. But it would be great, if I could get a report with the time-entries, tags, AEs (15min = one AE) and a total sum of AEs for the period. Possibly also the count of the tags (like 3 times driving) and of course without any Euro amounts at all, just the sum of the AEs.
A protocol per customer with the activities of the month, to list it in another invoice as one sum (like: AEs according to protocol). I do this with a Excel-Access combination at the moment, but it would be easer with a invoice or report-tool.

What does "AE" mean?
I don't understand your use-case, perhaps you can send me an example (e.g. using screenshots) via mail?

I have set an hourly rate for my tasks, that is without VAT. When exporting to SubTotal, is it possible to automatically calculate and add to the invoice the VAT to the invoice sum? I don't need it for every item on the invoice, just the overall vat.

When creating a new invoice in SubTotal (if manually or using the WorkingHours "create invoice" button), the app "tries to be smart". It checks the last invoice and the VAT you used there and applies it to the newly created one.

In SubTotal the VAT is applied for each invoice item and not on the total sum. That is because the VAT can vary based on the type of the invoice item

timo Hello Timo ! I have try some test here about adding taxes on the botom of my invoice for 2024. I am recently taxing my client so i am new in this function. If i understand correctly, i have start in workingHours, with the "create a billing" extract décember 2023 to make a test in subtotal. The creation of the test work well as all my 2023 billing. Then i go in Subtotal, i click on the new invoice test and click on the bottom to add the 2 taxes we have here in Quebec city, canada. TPS for 5% and then TVQ for 9.975%. The calcul and the visual is perfect. But when i do another one it seem no be smart as you explain and i have the recreate and add the two taxes manualy. How could i configurate to be automatic ?

The "additional tax" feature that applies to all invoice items automatically (not the one you specify for each line item individually) is rather new and was implemented after my comment above.
