Can't export Excel worksheets in free version

I downloaded the free version (2.17.3.0) in May 2026. My OS is Windows 11 Pro on a Surface laptop for business 7th edition with Intel.

I am just now trying to export .xls files for May, June, and July. When I hit the "Export" button, I get a message that "7 day evaluation period of the Pro version has expired" with a choice of "Let me see" and "Not now". When I hit "Not now", it fails back to the main "Export" page. When I go to "Let me see", I get a pop up with "Buy for Windows". Nothing I have tried has worked. My next option is to uninstall and reinstall.

First question, which I can't find answered anywhere on your website: Is the Pro version now required for export? If not, how can I fix this?

Excel and CSV export is, and always has been, a Pro feature. It was available during the initial 7-day Pro trial. After the trial expires, exporting requires WorkingHours Pro.

Reinstalling the app will not change this and may delete your locally stored data, so please do not uninstall it.

timo So I must have purchased the Pro version in 2021. How do I recover my user credentials? I moved from one laptop to another in May, and this app was not transferred to the new laptop.

WorkingHours does not use separate user credentials; the Pro license is managed by the Microsoft Store.

Please follow “How to restore the Pro version on a new device?” in the Pro version FAQ linked above. The purchase-history link there also lets you verify whether and under which Microsoft account Pro was purchased.
