Hi,
I am testing WorkingHours for recording internal training and supervised practice rather than normal billable work.
My current idea is to use:
- Tasks for the main training subject
- Tags for the department, trainer or equipment
- Description for the specific activity
- Details for notes, results or certificate information
For example:
Task: Forklift training
Tag: Warehouse
Description: Practical assessment
Details: Trainer name, result and certificate reference
The normal Excel and CSV exports seem useful for reporting the total hours by task and tag.
What I am unsure about is how to preserve the record after it has been reviewed.
A user can manually edit an older work unit. That is useful for correcting mistakes, but it also means that a previously exported training record may no longer match the data currently stored in the app.
Is there any way to see when an existing work unit was changed?
If WorkingHours does not keep an edit history, would the usual approach be to create a monthly export and store that file separately as the final record?
I would also like the export to contain:
- date
- start and end time
- duration
- task
- tags
- description
- details
Can the current Excel export include the complete Details field, or is that information only available inside the app?
I work with ISO management system documentation and maintain isochecklist.com. This page contains my own ISO 9001 competence and training notes, which explain why I am looking at reviewable training records. It is not documentation for WorkingHours.
I am interested in how other users handle training or professional development records that may need to be checked several months later.
