Timer pauses when working on two computers

I often use both my desktop PC and MacBook Pro at the same time, moving between one and the other to do my work. I currently have the app set up to pause the timer 'when absent for 5 minutes'. I have noticed that if I have the timer open on my PC and then switch to using my Mac, as soon as 5 minutes of inactivity is reached on the PC (due to me working on the Mac), it pauses the timer on both machines, even though I am still actively working on the Mac.
Is there a way to get the app to register that it should stay recording my work time if either computer is active?

There is no easy way to handle this without a lot more syncing operations and a significant rework that I believe is not worth it unless there's more demand for this feature
