I would like to share a product improvement idea that could significantly enhance the user experience of your time-tracking application.
Automatic time tracking based on location is a powerful feature, and extending it with more flexible geofencing options could make it even more valuable. Being able to automatically start and stop time tracking when entering or leaving a defined workplace, with a customizable radius, would already be a major benefit.
However, many users work in large, complex, or irregularly shaped environments such as hospitals, university campuses, or industrial buildings. In these settings, a simple circular radius often lacks precision. Offering the possibility to manually draw a custom area directly on the map would allow users to define their working zone much more accurately.
This kind of smart, user-defined geofencing could improve tracking accuracy, reduce manual corrections, and make the app feel more intuitive and tailored to real-world work environments. It could also be a strong differentiating feature compared to other time-tracking solutions.
