Please help me understand how to use this app

I've tried using this app but I can't work out how to make it work for me. I just want a very simple tracker. Can I change settings so that the headings are my project names, rather than days of the week? For example I have been working on one project since last week and I know have multiple 'entries', all different days of the week. And when I've started work on the project today the app insists on adding the time to the entry for 2 days ago. It's so confusing!

I tried to make the app as simple as possible. You can track your time by simply pressing the start and stop buttons on the main page.
The tracked time is grouped by days, not by the projects. You can also change the grouping to weeks or months if don't like the grouping by day. To quickly see the sum of how long you worked on a specific task, I would recommend going to the Analytics page.

I just bought this app on the Android and I wanted to somehow sync with the Desktop app, but 1. I cannot find how and 2. the Desktop app is in trial mode, asking me for additional 15.99$. Am I unable to sync these up? and Do I need to buy Android and Desktop Apps separately?
