Hi,
I'm happy user of WorkingHoursApp on my corporate device (1-2 years) - very convenient to log time as my employee requires strict logging of time (to bill other clients) once you do initial setup (which is kind of hard). And sometimes I need multiple 5-60 logins for accurate tracking
However, our company plans to start blocking Personal accounts via Intune on our corporate Windows devices completely (sign-in or authentication should start not to work after that).
What's the possibility to activate or re-purchase this via corporate accounts? To my knowledge 'Microsoft Store for Business' is retired for several years? And for now we purchase app via Personal Microsoft Account (and licensing is tied via there).
Question is about purchase/activation only as the deployment is easily possible via Intune automatically to my device.
Possibility exists? Possibility does not exists? You plan to implement this in the future (if yes then when)? You can provide other licensing methods (?) in theory. chatGPT says (as this is mostly concerns me, not the company where I work, some of these of course not valid I guess due DLP but I'm to lazy to edit these):
- Offline installer (MSI / MSIX / PKG) – you can deploy or run it manually; activation usually via key or login.
- License key / activation code – vendor provides a serial or token you can enter locally.
- Account-based activation – you sign in with a vendor-managed account (not Microsoft Store) to unlock the license.
- Vendor download portal – you download the installer and license file directly from the vendor’s admin page.
