Unauthored units are added

I got an issue with units showing up. I haven't done any detailed testing but I have a hunch that it's due to me having two Devices: Windows and Mac that have linked Apps. Below are screenshots of units added in the task monitor. One of those screenshots show a repeating time which would be 12 AM in which these added units start. As the name suggest I do have this app set to record automatically on wake up in the task: auto record

this happens when there is a long-running timer (over several days) that you then stop at some point. This is not a bug per-se, but I can see if I can add a warning when the user is about to stop such a long-running timer (unless the timer is stopped automatically, e.g. when you set up the idle-detection and the user goes idle. Then there would be no warning).
In your case that "<auto-record>" task what started when the first work unit shows up and was stopped when the last one shows.

Timo, I was able to reproduce the issue. Please follow my story with screenshots to to support. All screenshots are from the MacOS minus one which was taken in Win11. The time dates are in the titles for your reference. Also I'd like to reference that I do have both apps set to stop after 1 min absence. Win11 is set to sleep after 2 min. MacOS is set to sleep after 10 min.

My issue seems to be when I activate WorkingHours between MacOS and Win11. I noticed that I've had a couple of days worth of units appearing after synching from yesterday afternoon. This occurred when activating in Win11, see the screenshot for detail

This morning I kept an eye on my units within MacOS. See the screenshot for what is correct tracking

I think the app within Win11 is behaving as you've stated to in your first and only statement here. See the screenshot for details the app had after logging in to Windows.

It appears that the Windows app was left on since last night which is not true because I've used both computers on the same desk. I made sure to end the timer within the MacOS as detailed in the second screenshot this morning.

My tracking was correct this morning in MacOS, logging into Windows and auto synching the apps then made it wrong. See the screenshot for what happened to my tracking in MacOS after logging into Windows

Mikes1025 Win11 is set to sleep after 2 min.

This could be a problem. Since the "absence timer" in the app settings of the Windows app is not configurable (and I think it triggers after around 4 minutes of idle time last time I checked) it is possible that your Windows goes to sleep before it is able to stop the timer and perform a sync. When you then do stuff on your macOS, the timer can get messed up - e.g. when you log in the next morning on your macOS, the timer might still be running and when stopping it, these kinds of long work units can happen. In the next version there will be a warning when you are about to stop a timer that is running for longer than 4 days
