Here is an example...
I have a work block that was 3 hours and 44 mins (3:44:00). With the new version, that number is 3.73; where the '.73' is 73% of one-hour...or 44 mins; but I have to calculate that now. The challenge is that my existing time management workbook has a lot of formulas that are looking for the raw data to be in a certain format. When that format changes, it breaks the entire workbook. To maintain the integrity of the formulas, I have to reformat the data to the expected format. I could rebuild the workbook, but that would be time-intensive and wouldn't solve the fact that all of my historic data is formatted the old way. So it is easier to reformat the new incoming data than it is to rebuild my workbook.
It may not seem like a big deal, but this workbook is very complex and would be a challenge to rebuild and test for accuracy. Since I use this for all of my invoicing and PO management, I need to maintain the integrity of the data formatting and formulas to ensure accurate and consistent billing.
To be clear, I LOVE the program (I have the Pro version) and recommend it often. But this change in the formatting threw me off, and I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out what happened before I stumbled on this thread. I have a fix now, but I was confused for a bit until I figured out that the formatting in the exports had changed.
Again, I love this program and think it's the best one out there for me. I use it constantly!! Thanks for the great product!
Cheers! -Doug
