I suggest adding a feature to sync and display future calendar events from e.g. icloud calendar within the app. This enhancement would significantly improve users' ability to plan their work schedules ahead and estimate the upcoming week's working hours estimate.
Key Features:
- MVP:
- Future Event Syncing: Allow users to sync calendar events in the future.
- Work Unit Creation: Enable users to create "work units" for events in the future (in the same way as it is done for current and past events now)
- Enhancements:
- Customizable Sync Period: Provide a settings option where users can choose how many days in the future they want to sync (e.g., a week, a month).
Why This is Important:
- Budget Management: Supports users in staying within work hour budgets (e.g., ensuring 30 hours per week) by providing a clear overview of total working hours booked in a week/month.
- Efficient Planning: Helps users plan their work week by giving them visibility on total working hours to expect.
This feature would be a valuable addition for anyone who needs to balance work commitments with future events, ultimately leading to more efficient and effective work planning.
