24h task each day after sync

Hi Timo,

I synced today my db with onedrive and directly afterwards each day has the same task with 23:59 in it. My other tasks are not deleted, but it added the same task on top. It starts at the 19.04.2024 12:57 until today.

Is there a way to delete all the new entries? (besides doing it manually)

these 24h work units appear when a timer is stopped which has been started several days earlier. You need to delete them manually. You can bulk-delete by "group work units by months" and then use the right-click menu to delete each month, which is faster than deleting each work unit separately

Hi Timo, thanks for your swift reply. I had multiple times a 24h work unit when I forgot to stop the timer. But this was for 3 months and I used this task nearly every day. I highly doubt I did not see the running timmer for 3 month.

Bulk deleting unfortunately did not work for me and I accidently changed all tasks for one month. So I loaded my back up and deleted all tasks one by one.

If you can provide me the steps on how to reproduce this problem reliably, I am happy to look into it. I can't think of any other option than an active long running timer that has been stopped. Maybe you have connected the sync on a device you rarely use?

No, I can't provide steps to reproduce it and I don't want you to look more into it. It's absolutely fine, just wanted to give you feedback if this "problem" arises on more time frome someone else 🙂.

Might be that I started the task on my old cell phone, time does not really match, but I have no other reasonable explanation aswell.
