Active timer in menu bar unresponsive in fullscreen mode

OS + version: MacOS Sonoma 14.3
Device model: 2018 MacBook Pro

I just updated to 2.10.10 and noticed that I can't start or stop the timer from the menu bar when an app is in fullscreen mode. The drop down menu doesn't appear on click. It works normally in other scenarios.

I am unable to reproduce this (with a fullscreen Safari window). Feels like a macOS issue. I also haven't changed anything I can recall in regards to the menu recently. Did you restart macOS? Can you share a screen capture video?
