Background:
I am a student/work from home user
I typically have smaller tasks which feed into eachother subheaded into a larger task. For example: I have "database" "organization" "writing" big tasks but within those tasks there are respectively "USCRN" "directory" "methods" smaller tasks. There are many other small tasks and big tasks as well.
What I have been doing to organize is using the tagging system and coloring. For example the tag is "writing" and task is "methods" and both are colored similarly- the "writing" tag is a lighter blue than "methods" task.
I really like all my tasks being similarly colored to my tag but to reduce time spent chosing separate similar colors I have copy pasted the same color for each task. But this can get confusing when looking at my analytics.
Request: Easier color customization
This feature could be embedded within the app or included in an import. Two paths for the "embedding" are applying features already included in the app in a different way (New tasks have the color of whatever the user tags it and can change the gradient using the already included color wheel. Enable or disable in settings) or creating a new feature (new additional color choice screen would allow the user to choose a tag which would generate a bar color gradient. The user could adjust in comparison with the tag. For extra fanciness maybe a second tag bar and an additional blended tag bar). For the importing path users would import the task (descriptions too) and tags along with colors from .csv/.xlsx.
Maybe none of the above is feasible? Personally it would be cool to see the importing since I think this would be the most efficient way to customize, but I wanted to include the other thoughts in case they are helpful.
I really enjoy the colors and maybe others feel the same? or similarly:]
Thank you, Ariel
