Assigning Client Name to a Task or Work Unit

I work with different clients throughout the day and week. It would be great if I can track my working hours by client so that I can invoice easily. I am currently using the TAG feature to filter by clients but I have to create Tasks for each client. So for example a meeting task will have to be created and associated with each customer TAG. So if I have 3 TAGs, I will need to have 3 Tasks called Meeting.

I recommend using tags for clients and it is unlikely that I will add a separate "clients" feature in the future. I didn't fully understand why you would have to have 3 meeting tasks when having 3 clients set up as tags. Maybe you can explain that in more detail? You don't need to associate the client tags with the meeting tasks directly, but rather add the tags to the work units

Přikláním se ke kolegovi výše. Některé tagy člověk používá opakovaně a některé dle vašeho doporučení budou použity pouze jednou. Když člověk pak listuje v tagach, tak jsou tam smíchané 2 koncepty. Já bych prosil přidat třeba i položku do záznamu Místo, což je stejná situace jako kolegů požadavek na klienta.

Hello, i dont know, if my previous post is readable in czech, but i have same problem like user art. The tags Are not usable for client record because when you have tousand clients, you must select from tousand tags. It is not ergonomic. Better would be coloumn as record in databaze for client And place = 2 more records. The tags Is better for reassignments then unique records. Thank you for reaction.

i use tasks, 1 task per customer and then use tags to specify the work i am doing. so remote if working from home, location when i am at the customer working, marketing, administration etc

Yes, please, I would like this feature also. Like Femke, I use tasks to represent clients, and tags to represent useful descriptors of the job or payment scheme.
