I saw this other issue and thought, it was resolved already. Yes, I am using sync via iCloud. With "idle detection" you mean the "When absent for x minutes" setting, right? That's set to "No action". This morning, when it occurred last, no timer was running. You might be right that the problem started last week, "last few weeks" is probably a bit exaggerated.
